MusicWe.Love Weekly Playlist #14

We strive to be normal, we love and live. We are humans, we shall be in peace.

But, as the days go by we notice our friends, families and strangers dying.

This is not okay, don’t be a part of the problem. Be always against violence.

Our 14th playlist:

As for our Apple Music fans, here you go!

Let’s break it down:

1- Masâr, by Le Trio Joubran

From Fatima, Oud is always beautiful. This is one example of that.

2- Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell

From Abdulaziz, her aged vocals on this re-recording makes the relatively sprightly original cut seem devoid of soul.

3- Staring at the Sun (Sean’s Song), by Sarah Simmons

From Abdullah, the pain in Sarah’s voice just hits me in the feels.

4- I’m in Love with Susan Smith, by Okkervil River

From Ali Y, made me wish I was Susan Smith. The album is filled with heart warming love songs like this and I highly recommend it.

5- Wicked Game, by Widowspeak

From Sara, personally, I think this version is the best one so far. It’s even better than the original (by Chris Isaak).

6- Conceptual Romance, by Jenny Hval

From Dima, so mentally & emotionally attached to this song & everything it resembles.

7- Les Melodie Des Choses, by Las Hermanas Caronni

From Seba, hauntingly beautiful. Something about that clarinet playing; whenever it breaks into song my heart just melts.

8- You Will Never Know, by Imany

From Noura, this French pop-soul singer knows how to strike all the right chords, those literal and figurative.

9- first day of my life, by gnash

From Ali G, there’s something about how cheesy gnash’s songs are that makes me just smile like a little kid.

10- It’s Alright, Ma (I’m Only Bleeding) by Bob Dylan

From Gamal,

ماما أنا لا أكذب و لكني أتجمل

This is it for this week! We love you,
