MusicWe.Love Weekly Playlist #17

Good day cute little humans, have you wondered if that bird singing outside your windows is actually calling for help? While your highness is basically thinking it’s cute?

Week 17, everyone. This week is definitely different.

As for our Apple Music fans, here you go!

Let’s break it down, aight.

1- Novacane, by Frank Ocean

From Dima, a song to be eaten out to. I love how he’s more enticed by her dentistry aspirations than her day job.

2- Sailing to Nowhere, by Broken Bells

From Sarah, Broken Bells are awesome. literally all their songs are sooooo good!

3- Haunted by You, by Future Islands

From Ali Y, the Future Islands are a hit and miss for me. But when they do hit it it’s a real home run into the depths of you.

4- Stolen Dance, by Milky Chance

From Gamal,

“الشتا بيقصر كل سنة عن اللي قبلها؛ و انا الشتا ده لوحدي، تعالي غنّي معايا”

5- Something Soon, by Car Seat Headrest

From Seba, “I want to break something important, I want to kick my dad in the shins.” I couldn’t have said it any better.

6- Not Easy, by Alex Da Kid

From Abdullah, this collaboration is just beautiful, the sound of X Ambassadors is all over, which is always a good thing!

7- Royalty Capes, by De La Soul

From Abdulaziz, (not really)old-school hiphop.

8- ave cesaria, by Stromae

From Noura, if this song doesn’t make you want to get up and dance then you need to get your pulse checked. A great track with a greater backstory – a tribute to the “barefoot diva” herself, Cesária Évora.

9- Really Doe, by Danny Brown

From Ali G, this new album by Danny Brown is just a continuum of his great works, and the album was suggested by a dear friend of mine. This song has 4 champs of rap/hip-hop in one song. It’s just so beautiful.

10- Runaway, by Kanye West

From Fatima, give this a chance, even if you loathe rap and Kanye. You’ll be surprised.
